This webinar will discuss the state option to extend Medicaid postpartum coverage from 60 days to 12 months. This additional coverage has created new opportunities to help people quit. You will also hear from Louisiana’s Tobacco Control and Disease Prevention program on their experience working with Louisiana Medicaid to implement the new coverage. It will review the process they undertook, discuss how they overcame challenges encountered and the outcomes achieved once the new coverage was enacted, including sharing lessons learned and opportunities for other states.
