Asthma Basics

Purpose: To help people learn more about asthma

Target Audience: Healthcare professionals, school nurses, community health workers, individuals with asthma, parents of children with asthma, or anyone who wants to learn more about asthma

Assessing a Child’s Readiness to Carry and Use a Quick-Relief Inhaler

Purpose: To assist designated school health staff assess a child’s readiness to carry and use a quick-relief inhaler

Better Breathers Club Facilitator Training - Invitation Only

Purpose: To prepare learners to deliver community-based educational opportunities and support to persons with chronic lung disease; Some knowledge and experience with chronic lung disease is preferred, but not required

Target Audience: Community member or leader, health professional or health educator who likes working with adults


Breathe Well, Live Well® Educator Training - Invitation Only

Purpose: To prepare asthma educators in the community to deliver asthma self-management education to adults and families

Target Audience: Healthcare practitioners, Certified Asthma Educators (AE-C), Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES) and Community Health Workers


FACT Orientation

Purpose: To educate adults involved with Wisconsin’s FACT groups

Target Audience: FACT Adult Advisors, staff of Wisconsin’s Tobacco-Free Alliances, and other adults who provide support to FACT youth


Four Steps for Creating an Asthma-Friendly School

Purpose: To help schools and school districts create a safe and healthy learning environment for students with asthma

Target Audience: Educators and school officials


INDEPTH® – Alternative to Suspension – Facilitator Training

Purpose: This free three-module certification training prepares adults to implement INDEPTH as an alternative to suspension or citation program for students ages 14-19 for violation of school or community tobacco use policies.

Target Audience: Educators, school officials and youth-serving community organizations


N-O-T (Not On Tobacco®) Youth Cessation Facilitator Training

Purpose: The N-O-T Not On Tobacco® Facilitator Training is a 6-hour course designed to prepare school and community organizations to implement the N-O-T youth tobacco cessation program. This training also includes the INDEPTH (intervention) training and certification.

Target Audience: Educators, school officials and youth-serving community organizations


Open Airways For Schools® Facilitator Training - Invitation Only

Purpose: To prepare educators to deliver OAS to children 8 – 11 in schools

Target Audience: Educators


Smokefree Policies in Multi-Unit Housing: Steps for Success

Purpose: To offer guidance and tools that make it easy to plan and implement a successful smokefree multi-unit housing policy
