Breathe Well, Live Well® Facilitator Recertification
The American Lung Association's Breathe Well, Live Well® serves as the Lung Association's Signature Program for adult asthma self-management education that teaches adults to take control of their asthma so they can be active and healthy. The curriculum is based on national best practices for asthma care and is evidenced based. Breathe Well, Live Well® is the only program available nationwide that has shown to result in less severe asthma, fewer respiratory problems, and a better ability to stick to treatment plans. Breathe Well, Live Well is led by an American Lung Association-trained facilitator. Certification is valid for three years and facilitators must be recertified to continue to deliver the program. This learning opportunity allows facilitators to receive a “refresher” on proven-effective programming strategies, supportive resources to reinvigorate recruitment and engagement among participants and receive a renewed 3-year certification to continue deliver Breathe Well, Live Well.
The Breathe Well, Live Well® Facilitator Recertification Training consists of one module that provides updates to facilitators to renew their certification. Participants will:
- Understand the Breathe Well, Live Well Facilitator recertification process.
- Gain a greater awareness about current asthma treatment options and control strategies.
- Discover updates to the Breathe Well, Live Well curriculum and supporting materials.
- Identify tips for evaluating the program.
- Identify tips for recruiting program participants.
- Discover new ideas for delivering each lesson.
